Day 1007, National Eucalypt Day
This morning my mom and I had a long video chat and she taught me how to use Snapseed, the photo editing app. She added me to a family photo art thread so I can now participate in the altered photo play. My first altered photo was a pelican that I changed so it has flamingo colors. It’s really beautiful. I’m glad to be able to play with my family this way.
Another part of my family plays Wordle together every day. We all play the same word and see how we do. Since I’m a day ahead of everyone else, I end up selecting the word. I have thought of it as a way to stay connected and confirm that we are all still alive and well enough to play. The photo play is now another way I can connect daily with another group of family members.
This afternoon we went to see Snow White. I liked it. It was visually engaging, but I had a lot of difficulty understanding the lyrics to the music. I will need to look for the lyrics later.
Today was also National Eucalypt Day, a day of celebration of the eucalyptus trees that cover so much of Australia. We have them in our yard. There are so many kinds. They have different leaves, different flowers, different bark, different nuts. So many kinds of beauty.
Here’s a painting of me appreciating an eucalyptus tree on National Eucalypt Day.
