Day 1013, Gibbons
It was a big day today. I started with a powerful cocounseling session and noticed that one thing that motivates me is that I don’t want to be an outcast again. I’m glad I’m aware of it. It can lead me in certain directions that don’t serve me and it’s unlikely that I will be an outcast again. I was as a child, but things are different now.
Then I went to get my Covid vaccine to prepare for traveling internationally.
In the afternoon, I met a friend at the Perth Zoo for an amble in the heat and a look at the plants and animals. We saw some very active primates. The gibbons were eating flowers. They are the fastest arboreal creatures and can move at 55 KPH through the trees.
Finally, we ended the day with possibly our last visit to the Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema where we saw Conclave. It had a very surprising twist that I loved so much that I clapped with joy when it happened. I won’t say more as it would be a spoiler. I understand now why my friends kept recommending it to me.
Here’s a painting of me watching the gibbon playing in her enclosure and holding the flowers she was eating.
