Day 1017, Self-soothing with color
I worked a lot more today on my feelings about what’s going on in the USA. I am pleased with the way the vote went in Wisconsin and I’m proud of Corey Booker for his amazing speech. I’ve realized that the government are not the people in my country of origin too. Most of us didn’t vote for what is happening there now. Most of the world recognizes that and is sending love to the people of my country despite what the government is doing. While we are losing allies, I don’t think we are losing friends. I’m finding the response from regular folks in the USA and around the world to be very uplifting. In celebration of our connection despite what the government is doing, I decided to indulge in a lot of color play today. I painted these flowers. Then I took the painting and played with it in Canva to create a variety of tiling patterns and kaleidoscope patterns. It was very soothing.
Here’s the original image. There are too many variations to include. I might try to figure out how to put them together in one image, like a page from a photo album. If I can, I will post that later.
